Beat Maker
A 16-step drum machine in your browser. Click the grid to build a groove, dial in the tempo and swing, and share it with a link. Built on the Web Audio clock, so it never drifts.
Press Space to play or stop. Click and drag across the grid to paint a row. Your pattern lives in the URL — just copy the address to share it.
Make a beat in seconds
Each row is a drum — kick, snare, hi-hat, open hat, clap and tom. Each column is one 16th-note step, four steps to a beat, sixteen to a bar. Switch on the cells you want and hit play. The darker columns mark the start of each beat so it's easy to see the groove.
Why the timing is tight
Like a hardware drum machine, every hit is scheduled ahead of time on the Web Audio hardware clock instead of a JavaScript timer, so the pattern stays locked even when the page is busy or the tab is in the background. Add swing to push the off-beats late for a looser, more human feel.
Share your groove
The whole pattern — every cell, the tempo and the swing — is encoded in the page URL. Hit Share link (or just copy the address bar) and whoever opens it hears exactly what you made. Great for trading ideas or dropping a beat in a chat.
