The Feel Library — the only metronome that grooves like a human
Every other free metronome gives you, at most, an abstract "swing %" slider. We give you named, real-record feels. Switch to Dilla and the click lurches with J Dilla's famous lopsided 16ths. Pick the Purdie shuffle and you get the ghost-noted half-time roll heard on Toto's "Rosanna." There's boom-bap, behind the beat, classic swing, and pushing on top. Flip on the steady reference pulse and you can literally hear the feel lean against the grid. Browse the whole Feel Library →
Why this metronome stays in time
Most browser metronomes fire their click from a JavaScript timer, which stutters whenever the page is busy. This one schedules every click ahead of time on the Web Audio hardware clock, so the beat — and every micro-timed feel — lands exactly where it should. Perfect for practising scales, tracking takes, or locking into a pocket.
How to use it
Pick a feel, then drag the tempo slider or use the − / + buttons to dial in your BPM. Choose a time signature to set how many beats are in each bar; the first beat is accented so you always know where the bar starts. Not sure of the tempo? Hit Tap along with a track and we'll work it out.
Need to match an existing song instead? Our dedicated Tap Tempo tool reads a track's BPM as you tap, then sends it straight back here to practise against. Setting a tempo-synced delay or reverb? The delay & reverb time calculator turns any BPM into note delay times in milliseconds.
